This spicy Karahi curry recipe is deep with spicy flavour. Make it in minutes and enjoy an all time restaurant favourite at home!



500g-750g of chicken portions

1 medium sized onion

4 cloves of garlic

2 inches of fresh ginger

3 vine tomatoes

Full fat natural yoghurt

1 bell pepper cubed.

Optional: coriander for garnishing


๐Ÿ”ฅ STEP 1
  • Finely chop the onion and finely grate the garlic and ginger. Gently fry in a pan with a splash of oil. Keep on a low heat for approximately 4 minutes until the mixture turns translucent.
  • ๐Ÿƒ Top tip: if you find the mixture sticking to the pan, add a splash of water.
  • ๐Ÿ”ฅ STEP 2
  • In a bowl, combine BANG!'s spices with 50ml of water. Blend into a smooth, thick paste. Pour the paste into the pan and continue on a low heat for approximately 4 minutes. This will magically turn into your curry sauce! Dice the tomato and add to the sauce.
  • ๐Ÿƒ Look out for oils emerging from the mixture, then move onto step 3.
  • ๐Ÿ”ฅ STEP 3
  • Add the chicken pieces to the curry sauce, whilst raising the heat. Sear the surfaces of the chicken with the sauce then lower he heat after 2 minutes. Add up to 100ml water, add chopped peppers and simmer for a further 20 minutes or until cooked.
  • Enjoy with easy cook rice - why not try with crispy bhajis and a chutney!
  • ๐Ÿƒย  Finish by garnishing with chopped coriander and serve with flat breads and basmati rice.
