The Recipe

Just add...

  • A medium onion (finely chopped)
  • 4 cloves of garlic (finely grated)
  • 2 inches of fresh ginger (finely grated)
  • 650-900g of your favourite ingredient (chicken, red meat, seafood, vegetables... virtually anything works!)
  • Optionally: 3 tbsp of natural yoghurt or coconut milk for a richer curry
  1. Step 1: The Prep

    Soften the onions, garlic & ginger in a saucepan using cooking oil for about 3 minutes on a low hob setting.
  2. Step 2: Curry Base

    Mix the Bang Curry Spice Mix with 150ml of milk (or nat yoghurt/coconut milk) to make a paste. Add this to the saucepan and heat on a low hob setting. Avoid burning by adding small amounts of milk. Wait another 2-3 minutes until you see oils emerging from the curry base and move onto step 3.
  3. Step 3: Add Ingredient

    Add your chicken or preferred ingredient. Stir under a raised heat for 1 minute. If you wish, add 1 large potato chopped into 4-6 pieces. Add boiling water to your desired consistency and simmer until cooked. For chicken this is about 30 minutes. For red meat, slow cooking gives the best results.
