Our Dhaka Dahl recipe is one from the treasure chest and combines a warm blend of spices to form a magical dish bursting with flavour.
NOW FOLLOW OUR SIMPLE 3 STEP PROCESS
STEP 1: PREP IT
Soak BANG!'s lentil pack in a large saucepan with 500ml of warm water. After about 10 minutes, put the pan on a medium heat and bring to the boil, then simmer for 15 minutes or until it's a thick consistency.
Optional extra: during simmering, add 2 chopped tomatoes.
STEP 2: FRY IT
In a frying pan, fry the sliced onion and garlic with a small amount of oil. Sizzle in the pan until crispy.
STEP 3: SPICE IT
In a separate bowl, combine BANG!'s spices with up to 50ml of water and blend into a smooth, thick paste. Pour the spice paste into the frying pan along with the onion and garlic mixture. Continue to fry on a low heat for about 30 seconds. Then add to the lentil mixture and stir.
Optional extra: garnish with chopped fresh coriander.
