Our team is headed by husband and wife founders Mark Johnson and Shelly Nuruzzaman. Shelly spent early childhood in Brick Lane which was at the heart of London’s Bangladeshi community. She wanted to bring her mum’s well-loved recipes to all, but to create those authentic flavours she had to develop her own spice mixes and a unique 3 step cooking method that makes up the basis of Bang Curry’s range today.
Mark has a long history in bringing bespoke products to market. Mark applied this knowledge to commercialising Bang Curry’s range. Mark’s focus is to take Bang Curry’s individually hand-made recipes to scaled manufacturing, whilst preserving the quality of each single product.
