Our team is headed by husband and wife founders Mark Johnson and Shelly Nuruzzaman. Shelly spent early childhood in Brick Lane which was at the heart of London’s Bangladeshi community. It was her mum’s zest for preserving culture through food that inspired Shelly’s passion for Bangladeshi cuisine. Shelly’s adaptations of her mum’s well-loved recipes form the basis behind Bang Curry’s range today.
Mark has a long history in bringing bespoke products to market. Mark applied this knowledge to commercialising Bang Curry’s range. Mark’s focus is to take Bang Curry’s individually hand-made recipes to scaled manufacturing, whilst preserving the quality of each single product.
The team’s mission is that each pack leads to a guaranteed haven of flavour that is sure to bring a Bang Curry smile!
